Artist's Comments

Some of you might remember this girl: offspring of Gypsy and Dark Lake Stables' unicorn stallion Loan.

You might also remember her story: how her father's strength and her mother's song came together in the worst way possible: a scream. Her dam, horrified that her daughter couldn't sing and resembled a skull and bones, shunned her when she was weaned, calling her a 'monster,' and breaking her horn.

In the first picture, Banshee was a sad character. But here and now, Banshee has become a mare with a whole lot of attitude. Years of neglect and abuse from other horses has made her angry and distrusting.

I remember Banshee... I loved her design from the start, but her sad story is soooo very sad :(

I like this design better. I simplified it a bit, took out some busy parts, made it look more attractive.

I like that she has a personality now. :)

:D Just kind of painted over the sketch and a gray background, and then kind of smudged it all together. :giggle:
