Yes, I am now depending on alliteration to come up with interesting titles. If you don't know what alliteration means, ask your English teacher for after school help.
Anywho... Yay! Blossom!
Well, Bori got a fantastic Christmas gift... two actually, and she's going to order two more of them: Brooke, and, the point of me telling you this: Blossom!
So, then I figured I needed to get a proper reference of her up. My last reference of her was... well... a little two dark. I've finally decided that with her coloring, she is an amber. She's too dark to be perlino, and ambers can have the pink skin. Her eyes are blue instead of amber because of the appaloosa gene. At least that's how I explain it.
I can't wait to design the foal's color! If I assume pierce is a chesnut (very red chestnut) then I can make the foal gold champagne! *ooo*
And I am keeping good to my new year's resolution! I am putting work into every single piece: Composition, shading, emotion, background, color, and cleanliness in every picture! I love this new system because I'm proud of everything I do!
I've also stuck with a border and signature for more than one picture. omg no rly?
Hope you like, Michelle!
For those of you who don't know, Blossom is the winner of Boribaby's contest to design a mate for Pierce. Blossom is mine, Pierce is Michelle's, and they are adorable together. Can't wait to see her in the comic!
Blossom made her way back to her old haunt: her faithful cherry tree. It was the keeper of her secrets, her worries, her fears, and her joys. She'd taken shelter under it in a storm, eaten its fruit, and rolled in its blossoms. She'd watched the blue and yellow butterflies flit about it carelessly, smiling to herself.
She hadn't been back in a while, not since it was a withered bare branch of winter. Now it was in full bloom once more, its gentle scent wafting down and surrounding the equally gentle mare. She inhaled it gratefully and looked around, remembering. His footfalls had been so quiet, and she'd been quite surprised. Despite her nervousness, he'd calmed her right away with his gentle voice. He'd been the one to take her to the safety of a herd, where his sisters had accepted her. He'd been the one to nibble her long mane, get her to open up. He'd been, and was still, so charming... gentlemanly. Though his sisters would probably disagree with that thought. Blossom laughed to herself and smiled. How had she been so lucky?
