Couldn't do the same pretty pencil work cause I was too lazy to keep my lines straight. So I had to line it in photoshop.

I'm enjoying it, though. I've got two more comic pages drawn, but not inked. And this really took it out of me, too. I'm going to bed right after I finish uploading this.

But Thistle is introduced, yay!

This is all set in the world in which *boribaby's comic Book of Days is set. I invented my own species to live in the northern artic mountains: the Fleurians. No one knows why, but all members of this race are named after a plant of some sort, even though they rarely come across plants in their home. It is considered to be very good luck for someone to find the plant they are named after.

Gypsy Muse, for those of you that don't know, is a shapeshifter and a dimension jumper. She can jump to any world she wishes, but I think there are some restrictions. I don't know what they are. Maybe a time limit or something that keeps her from jumping all over the place. Anyways, when she goes to the dimension she takes the form of one of the creatures there. Her favorite form to be in is equine, but she could take on the shape of a fox, or cat, or ostriche-horse, or even a human if she wanted to.

In this world, she has taken the shape of a Papillon - Boribaby's butterfly breed, hence the butterfly on her chest. It's white and her body is off-white, so you can barely see it. Unfortunately, she happened to come to the dimension when the Azars and Papillon are on the verge of war. She travels north to escape it and discovers the Fleurian. They have a well-formed and organized militia, but choose to stay neutral, only keep up their forces to repel an invasion should the Azars decide to get greedy. But for the most part, nobody even knows they exist because they stay high in the mountains where nothing grows.

Typical attributes of the Fleurians: subtle grays and browns for coloring, thickish build, facial markings, extremely long mane and tail (for warmth), fetlock feathers, and appaloosa patterns. Often the pattern can take on the same of a flower or plant, but just as often it is similar to the appaloosa patterns in the real world.
