Shapeshifter by daughterofthestars Shapeshifter by daughterofthestars
... dimension walker.

Some of you may be familiar with this girl. She is one of my few long-lasting characters. I consider her my muse. I never designed her. She just started showing up when I doodled in my Bible class workbook. Sometimes she was a unicorn, sometimes a horse, and then she started showing up as other animals. I knew as soon as I drew her that she hardly ever spoke outright, but she sang and danced. A number of my favorite characters (Til'Fil, Blossom) are her offspring.

As her character grew, she gained a name: Gypsy Muse.

Some facts:
:bulletblue: Her original form is a horse, and her original world is the real world.
:bulletblue: When in her natural horse form, she's a very light buckskin.
:bulletblue: Since they are close to her original form, equines are the easiest creature to shift to. Unicorns, winged horses, etc.
:bulletblue: When she does shift into other animals, it's usually those she's familiar with: animal native to North America, where she runs free.
:bulletblue: Her body type is like that of a Quarab. Delicate dished face, slender neck, and slender legs like an Arab. Thick quarters like a quarter horse or mustang.
:bulletblue: When she visits another dimension, she must leave there after eight divisions of time. Eight minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years. She has to leave every dimension after eight years.
:bulletblue: Her blue eyes change intesity and shade based on her mood.
:bulletblue: No matter the form she takes, she is always black and white. In some forms, this is troublesome (cougar, deer) and in others, it looks semi-natural (magpie, fox).
:bulletblue: Her voice is soft, sweet, and rare to hear.
:bulletblue: Overall she is confident, solitary, and easy-going.
:bulletblue: She is ageless, but her children are not.

I have lived a thousand lives, given birth a thousand times.

That's a hard no. One because I don't like Howrse, two because this is one of my oldest and dearest characters.

What a wonderful character, I love her design. It's interesting how you didn't design her, she kind of came to you.

I'm designing a shapeshifter character, and this is very inspiring. Makes me want to add a certain mystical and mysterious element to her, she doesn't really have that.
It's also making me reconsider the fact that I was going to give her different, always natural colors for each form. That could be kind of difficult, and when I draw her i'd just look like an ordinary animal, there should be something that lets you know it's her...

yup, this is very inspiring!
got many ideas flowing....
I love deviations that do that, thank you! :)
