YOU GUYS BETTER MAKE THE LAST FIVE HOURS I SPENT ON THIS WORTH IT.
That I meant to use to finish writing the speech I'm doing tomorrow. XD Oh well, I guess that means I'll be doing it eeeearly tomorrow morning. I knew if I didn't finish this, I probably never would, and it was too epic and awesome not to.
THE WAY I LOOK IN THE FIRST PANEL IS BASICALLY THE WAY I LOOK AT ANYTHING AVATAR-RELATED. *eats caps*
This was so much fun. And I'm actually happy with all of the drawings! *bounces around crazily* Dudes, my goal with this is to be on the front page when you look up "avatar meme." Help me out.
Decided no color, but I did shade. I kind of like it this way. Easier to look at, I think, that the bright colors alot of people use. XD
YOU KNOW MY GENDER-BENDING IS EPIC AND REALISTIC. I'd never done it before, and now I'm loving the result. Should I write an AU? Aeng, Kotara, Saka. XD Tauf, maybe, for Toph? And Zu-zu's nickname would be appropriate, finally! XD
Tell me what you like and don't like!
And the Lu Ten panel is so crappy. XD I was getting really tired by the time I got to that one.
And wow, I did an entire Avatar meme and it doesn't have any outrageous Tokka in it. Rather, it has Tozai. Wth?
Q of the day:
Is genderbending specific to Avatar (an offshoot of element-bending and "tear bending") or is it a genre-wide term that just happens to use the word "bend"?
No, genderbending goes all the way back to the eighties, and means to bend the rules of gender distinction through clothes, accessories, or actual gender/design change. This means that even cross-dressing a character is gender bending, and although the term "bending" did not come from Avatar, it is indeed a lovely pun on the show's main fighting style.
Avatar belongs to Mike and Bryan.
My drawings belong to me.
My insane ideas belong to me.
My procrastination belongs to me.
All your base belong to me.
You got it?
