Barrancas Brassies

Finally made myself a newer and prettier line art for my Brassies! These two are based off of a couple of the horse adoptables I've collected over the years.

The stallion in the back is a Brass Black Varnish Appaloosa, the mare in the front is a Brass Bay Dun Splash Tobiano.

The Brass coloration is based off of a mystery dilution that has been recorded in a strain of Morgans who have unusual honey-colored eyes, sun-bleached manes and tails, and lightened coat colors and skin! This breed was based on a combination of some older Spanish breeds with recorded examples of "mystery" dilutions in Morgans, Quarter Horses, Arabians, and Dutch Drafts. The gene is recessive, but can combine with cream to create a double dilute much the same way champagne does. 

I'd like to eventually get imports going for this breed - my idea is that they come genetically untested, and all you get is the phenotype. Then you either do something to send in for a geno test for various genes, or you can breed the horse to figure out what it is based on the foals you get back.
