Introduction

There was a moment of panicked silence when her halter came unbuckled and no one could react fast enough to stop her from trotting right up to the most antisocial stallion on the farm. He lifted his head and flared his nostrils, and Lilly, still held by a lead-rope, gave a nervous cough. A warning. The stallion, newly dubbed Rigel, took a step towards the filly and gave her a sniff while she stood her ground, showing no fear, not even clattering her teeth like most young horses would in the presence of such a bulky stallion.

There was a sigh of relief from the humans when he touched her with his muzzle and then tossed his head with a snort, and then a whisper of amazement when he began prancing and bowing like a dog at play, much to the delight of his new friend. The filly immediately began to buck and spin, chasing the stallion who was easily four times her size.

“We’ll take her.” Rigel’s owner said immediately.

Finished this all in one day and counted up how long I worked on it just so I had an idea of how fast I worked: there is temporally no possible way I worked on this for more than four hours. Wow. That includes pulling up references, etc.
